Over four days, the Air Force delighted race goers and fans with a number of high speed aerial displays showcasing the technical capabilities and precision flying of the F/A-18A Classic Hornet and the aerobatic proficiency of the PC-9 Roulettes display team, whilst on the final day, a C-17A Globemaster carried out an impressive low altitude flypast.

"It’s no secret that a mutual passion for all things fast is something Royal Australian Air Force pilots and Formula 1® drivers share. This common love put on thrilling display at the Formula 1® 2018 Australian Grand Prix, with exhilarating aerial displays planned by military aircraft; courtesy of the Royal Australian Air Force.

An F/A-18F Super Hornet fast jet, a C-17A Globemaster as well as the Pilatus PC-9A “Roulettes” aerial display team geared up to stun and awe at the Grand Prix with their highly trained personnel and highly effective aircraft."
