Malay & Borneo Veterans Association Memorial Service – 30 August
The Malay & Borneo Veterans’ Association Memorial Day service is for Australian Defence Service veterans and/or their families who served in Malaya/Borneo/Malaysia during various conflicts or confrontation, and also veterans who served at RAAF Ubon.
This year's service will be held on Friday 30thAugust 2019 at the Shrine of Remembrance, commencing at 1200 hours (veterans to gather at the Eternal Flame at 1145 hours.)
There will be a flyover by RAAF Point Cook aircraft and students and staff of Thomas Carr College will once again take part in the service. In attendance will be the Consul General Malaysia, the British Consul General, Hon. Consul Fiji, the Vice Chairman of the Weary Dunlop Foundation, the Chairman of Melbourne Legacy and President of the Sabah, Sarawak and Borneo Natives Organisation.
Following the service, light refreshments will be served in the Western Gallery of the Shrine, where you can meet or reconnect with other veterans as well as other invited guests.
