<p>The Senate committee report on the Fair Indexation Bill is now available at the link below. Predictably, the Committee split on party lines. It seems that the Australian Greens member sided with the ALP, counter to the commitment to fair indexation espoused by the Greens before the 2010 election.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m sure we will hear more in coming days, although the Government will doubtless hope that the Committee&#8217;s recommendation and our reaction to it will be drowned by the noise from tonight&#8217;s Budget.</p>
<p>I am incandescent, albeit unsurprised. I hope you are too.</p>

<p><strong>PRESIDENT AT HOME EVENINGS </strong></p>
<p>The first Thursday of the month has been set aside for a Presidents at Home Evening (social get together).  We will endeavour to have interesting speakers for the evening,  touching on subjects such as Military History, Health Issues and other subjects of interest.</p>
<p>Unless otherwise advised evenings will commence at 6pm  concluding around 8pm.  Lights refreshments and beverages will be served at no cost to members or their guests.</p>
<p>Members are encouraged to bring  guests, there are no restrictions as to how many.  Bookings are essential for catering purposes, ring 98134600.</p>
<p>We also encourage feed back and suggestions for guest speakers.</p>
