‘Expressions of Interest are invited from past and present personnel of 34(ST)Squadron and those associated with the Squadron for a reunion to be conducted in Canberra.

The squadron was originally formed in Darwin in February 1942. Although the timeframe for the event is as yet undetermined, year 2012 is suggested, thereby celebrating some 70 years of RAAF service by the Squadron. The event would be open to anyone that had an affiliation with 34 Squadron.

It is anticipated that the main function would be a reunion dinner, with other informal events held over a two to three day period. Interested persons are invited to register interest electronically at marganken@bigpond.com or by writing to Ken Stone at 3 Lerra Street Jerrabomberra NSW 2619.

Fred Neville, an Armourer with 2 Squadron when Magpie 91 was lost, has written a moving account about an unexpected observation during the dedication of the RAAF Vietnam Plaque Dedication at Point Cook on 28 March 2010.
